9 key habits of highly successful people

Being successful requires discipline, determination and good habits. Instilling the right habits leads to a healthy routine which is the foundation for any highly successful person. The following 9 habits will propel you to superstardom - follow them consistently, constantly and confidently!

  • Exercise Regularly

A regular workout makes you more motivated while also making you feel better.

The vast majority of Fortune 500 CEOs carve out 30 minutes or more for jogging, biking or walking each day. Billionaire Richard Branson, for example, wakes up at 5 am to play tennis or bike, and claims it doubles his productivity.

  • Wake up early and without an Alarm

Historically, waking up early has been a favorite habit of successful people. Makes sense, the more time one can devote to being successful, the more likely success will result. Successful people are accustomed to rising early, and that habit appears repeatedly among those who do well in life.

  • Read Read Read

Your brain is a muscle and reading is a core exercise. Books, news, online magazines - anything will do. Warren Buffett starts every morning pouring over newspapers, estimating he spends at least 80 per cent of his day reading.

  • Work on Multiple Income Streams

Successful people always work towards creating various income streams because relying on one can not provide them with financial stability. Look to expand into 3 - 5 income streams when possible.

  • Surround yourself with Inspiring People

Avoid time wasters. Be choosy about who you spend your time with and limit your exposure to toxic, negative people. If you don’t have highly-motivated people in your personal network, join groups for people who share your same career or personal interests.

  • Know when to Relax

Highly successful people love relaxing which can take several forms such as meditation, alone time or just “taking a breath”. Either way, it’s a way to recharge not just body but mind and spirit as well.

  • Take Action

Successful people know they get paid for producing. They make a point to create a vision, set goals, break them down into small steps and then get out there and go for it. They are keenly aware of the fact that nothing happens until they take action.

  • Adopt a Growth Mindset

People with a growth mindset believe that intelligence grows with experience and by working hard, they become smarter. This drives them to develop a daily routine for success and to make a consistent effort toward goals. You can develop this habit of thinking by simply changing your internal script. You must tell yourself that it’s possible to discover new ways to change your life and begin to believe it.

  • Don’t give in or give up

You can’t beat someone who refuses to lose!
